Based around the central area of the Park close to
The Barn on Berkeley Drive, entrance charge will be £7.00 for a family of four (2+2),
£3.00 for adults and £1.00 for children. Babies and toddlers in
pushchairs free. Dogs are welcome
but must be kept on a lead at all times. If you are a
Tax payer why not gift aid your entrance fee as a
donation and give the Park an extra 25p in the pound.
Free parking is off Shady
Lane, thanks to Sue Ryder Care for the use of their
driveway.
Disabled parking for Blue Badge holders is available
next to the Barn on Berkeley Drive. Additional parking at the
Stag Lodge and Wigan Road car parks on A49 and B5256 at Town
Brow, but will require a further walk to the central
event area.
New for this year is the
Meadows Mobile Reptiles come and hold ones of these
animals and have your picture taken!! Also new this year
is Active Nation doing a group exercise session and
encouraging us all to keep fit. The Mountain Bike
Trials display course will be back again, with
competitors from all over the country, as will the
Blackpool Circus Skills workshop and the Art of Origami
so why not come along and have a go.
The Leyland Morris Dancing Team will be
performing throughout the day near the sundial. The
Silver Bell Band will be there to entertain you in the
afternoon whilst you picnic or relax in the award
winning, restored Victorian Walled Orchard.
The ever popular woodland
crafts displays will be in and around Ice House Wood. There will again be
the Marquee which will hold the usual food, craft and
promotion stands. The Duke of Lancaster Regiment will
attend again this year bringing their paintball range
and they will be alongside the Fire Brigade and community
police.
Animal lovers can visit
the stand of the Rare Breeds Trust or watch the Search
and Rescue dogs display on the field alternately with
the Hawking displays by Richard Cookson of Cuerden Birds
of Prey.
For the younger children
there will be fairground rides and for the older
ones the inflatable slide and climbing wall are back.
Create a face will be here to do face painting and henna
tattoos and Caricatures by Paul will create a caricature
of your family.
Food and drink outlets
include the ever popular Mrs Dowsons Ice Cream, Taylor's Hogroast, Shirley's hotpot and the Coffee Car. New for this year is the
Bowland Pork for the burgers and hot dogs and the Harty
Food Company.
In the Cuerden Valley
Park tent the Education Officer will be doing craft
activities with the children and the Friends of Cuerden
Valley Park will be encouraging you to join them and
support the Park.
Don't forget to visit the Walton Fox
stand for your free sample of wine and why not round off
your day call into to the Walton Fox, Lostock Lane,
Bamber Bridge, for a meal, it is located on the South Rings
Business park next to the Premier Inn.
All of this along with
Cuerden Farmers' Market stands, charity, promotion and trade gazebos through out the
site area mean there will be plenty to see and do for
all ages.
The Park is a registered charity and does not receive
direct funding from Lancashire County Council, or
Chorley or South Ribble Councils. All proceeds from the
day will go towards future projects in
the Park.
The Park is located close
to the M6, M65 and M61 motorways with access from the
A49 and B5256.
