Health Walks at Cuerden Valley Park!

Cuerden
Valley Park Trust and Active Nation run a
range of Health Walks:
Most health guidelines reckon 30
minutes of exercise, five days a week, is enough to
significantly improve your health! We say ‘it all adds
up’, once you have experienced the buzz of getting
active, you’ll soon find you’re hitting that recommended
30 minutes.
Why Walk?

Walking can make you
feel good

It gives you more
energy and helps with mobility

It reduces stress and
can help you sleep better
©
It can keep your heart
‘strong’ and reduce blood pressure

And walking can help to
manage your weight
Walking is the perfect activity for health!
©
Almost everyone can do
it
©
You can do it anywhere
and any time
©
It’s a chance to make
new friends
©
You don’t need special
equipment
©
You can start slowly
and build up gently
©
You get to see and
enjoy the outdoor environment
Here at Cuerden Valley Park we
will be doing a range of walks; each walking session
will last for no more than 60 minutes and is
aimed at promoting physical, mental and social well
being. We will have 2 health walks each month.
